The Republic of Cyprus is divided into the following districts:


Nicosia (also called Lefkosia) is the capital and the largest city of the Republic. Located in the center of the island, this district attracts the visitors with many historical places (Venetian fortifications, Buyuk Khan, Ledras shopping street), alongside with modern galleries, nightclubs, discos, restaurants, and amusement parks.

Larnaca, small district between Nicosia and Famagusta, famous for beautiful Finikoudes promenade and beach, is situated conveniently near the sea front. Paphos district is located in western side of the island. It is known as the birth place of Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love and Beauty.
